2024-07-09pmdomain: amlogic: Constify struct meson_secure_pwrc_domain_descChristophe JAILLET
'struct meson_secure_pwrc_domain_desc' is not modified in this driver. Constifying this structure moves some data to a read-only section, so increase overall security. On a x86_64, with allmodconfig, as an example: Before: ====== text data bss dec hex filename 4909 4072 0 8981 2315 drivers/pmdomain/amlogic/meson-secure-pwrc.o After: ===== text data bss dec hex filename 8605 392 0 8997 2325 drivers/pmdomain/amlogic/meson-secure-pwrc.o Signed-off-by: Christophe JAILLET <christophe.jaillet@wanadoo.fr> Reviewed-by: Neil Armstrong <neil.armstrong@linaro.org> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/871d6b708de8bb42e1fabd8a601dc9a9a217cf00.1719863475.git.christophe.jaillet@wanadoo.fr Signed-off-by: Ulf Hansson <ulf.hansson@linaro.org>

2024-06-12pmdomain: amlogic: add missing MODULE_DESCRIPTION() macrosJeff Johnson
On x86, make allmodconfig && make W=1 C=1 reports: WARNING: modpost: missing MODULE_DESCRIPTION() in drivers/pmdomain/amlogic/meson-gx-pwrc-vpu.o WARNING: modpost: missing MODULE_DESCRIPTION() in drivers/pmdomain/amlogic/meson-ee-pwrc.o Add the missing invocation of the MODULE_DESCRIPTION() macro to all files which have a MODULE_LICENSE(). This includes meson-secure-pwrc.c which, although it did not produce a warning with the x86 allmodconfig configuration, may cause this warning with other configurations where CONFIG_MESON_SM is enabled. 2023-09-13pmdomain: Rename the genpd subsystem to pmdomainUlf Hansson
It has been pointed out that naming a subsystem "genpd" isn't very self-explanatory and the acronym itself that means Generic PM Domain, is known only by a limited group of people. In a way to improve the situation, let's rename the subsystem to pmdomain, which ideally should indicate that this is about so called Power Domains or "PM domains" as we often also use within the Linux Kernel terminology.
