2024-06-17net: dwc-xlgmac: fix missing MODULE_DESCRIPTION() warningJeff Johnson
With ARCH=hexagon, make allmodconfig && make W=1 C=1 reports: WARNING: modpost: missing MODULE_DESCRIPTION() in drivers/net/ethernet/synopsys/dwc-xlgmac.o With most other ARCH settings the MODULE_DESCRIPTION() is provided by the macro invocation in dwc-xlgmac-pci.c. However, for hexagon, the PCI bus is not enabled, and hence CONFIG_DWC_XLGMAC_PCI is not set. As a result, dwc-xlgmac-pci.c is not compiled, and hence is not linked into dwc-xlgmac.o. To avoid this issue, relocate the MODULE_DESCRIPTION() and other related macros from dwc-xlgmac-pci.c to dwc-xlgmac-common.c, since that file already has an existing MODULE_LICENSE() and it is unconditionally linked into dwc-xlgmac.o. 2019-10-14PCI: Add PCI_STD_NUM_BARS for the number of standard BARsDenis Efremov
Code that iterates over all standard PCI BARs typically uses PCI_STD_RESOURCE_END. However, that requires the unusual test "i <= PCI_STD_RESOURCE_END" rather than something the typical "i < PCI_STD_NUM_BARS". Add a definition for PCI_STD_NUM_BARS and change loops to use the more idiomatic C style to help avoid fencepost errors. 2017-03-09net: dwc-xlgmac: Initial driver for DesignWare Enterprise EthernetJie Deng
Synopsys provides a new DesignWare Core Enterprise Ethernet MAC IP (DWC-XLGMAC) for Ethernet designs. It is compliant with the IEEE 802.3-2012 specifications, including IEEE 802.3ba and consortium specifications. This patch provides the initial 25G/40G/50G/100G Ethernet driver for Synopsys XLGMAC IP Prototyping Kit. Signed-off-by: Jie Deng <jiedeng@synopsys.com> Signed-off-by: David S.
