"release_firmware"
The release_firmware() function tests whether its argument is NULL and then
returns immediately. Thus the test around the call is not needed.
This issue was detected by using the Coccinelle software.

The driver was using own method to do 32bit copy, turns out we have a kernel
API so use that instead
