2022-08-02ALSA: ac97: Replace sprintf() with sysfs_emit()Takashi Iwai
For sysfs outputs, it's safer to use a new helper, sysfs_emit(), instead of the raw sprintf() & co. This patch replaces the open code straightforwardly with a new helper. Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20220801165639.26030-2-tiwai@suse.de Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>
2021-07-21bus: Make remove callback return voidUwe Kleine-König
The driver core ignores the return value of this callback because there is only little it can do when a device disappears. This is the final bit of a long lasting cleanup quest where several buses were converted to also return void from their remove callback. Additionally some resource leaks were fixed that were caused by drivers returning an error code in the expectation that the driver won't go away. With struct bus_type::remove returning void it's prevented that newly implemented buses return an ignored error code and so don't anticipate wrong expectations for driver authors. 2021-05-25ALSA: ac97: fix PM reference leak in ac97_bus_remove()Yufen Yu
pm_runtime_get_sync will increment pm usage counter even it failed. Forgetting to putting operation will result in reference leak here. Fix it by replacing it with pm_runtime_resume_and_get to keep usage counter balanced. 2019-02-19ALSA: ac97: Fix of-node refcount unbalanceTakashi Iwai
ac97_of_get_child_device() take the refcount of the node explicitly via of_node_get(), but this leads to an unbalance. The for_each_child_of_node() loop itself takes the refcount for each iteration node, hence you don't need to take the extra refcount again. 2017-09-04ALSA: ac97: add an ac97 busRobert Jarzmik
AC97 is a bus for sound usage. It enables for a AC97 AC-Link to link one controller to 0 to 4 AC97 codecs. The goal of this new implementation is to implement a device/driver model for AC97, with an automatic scan of the bus and automatic discovery of AC97 codec devices.
