2014-10-14lib: remove prio_heapLai Jiangshan
The prio_heap code is unused since commit 889ed9ceaa97 ("cgroup: remove css_scan_tasks()"). It should be compiled out to shrink the binary kernel size which can be done via introducing CONFIG_PRIO_HEAD or by removing the code. We can simply recover the code from git when needed, so it would be better to remove it IMO. Signed-off-by: Lai Jiangshan <laijs@cn.fujitsu.com> Acked-by: Tejun Heo <tj@kernel.org> Cc: "David S. 2009-01-06lib: fix sparse shadowed variable warningHarvey Harrison
pos is always set before being used, no need to declare a second one inside the if() block. lib/prio_heap.c:34:7: warning: symbol 'pos' shadows an earlier one lib/prio_heap.c:30:6: originally declared here Signed-off-by: Harvey Harrison <harvey.harrison@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
2007-10-19Fix cpusets update_cpumaskPaul Menage
Cause writes to cpuset "cpus" file to update cpus_allowed for member tasks: - collect batches of tasks under tasklist_lock and then call set_cpus_allowed() on them outside the lock (since this can sleep). - add a simple generic priority heap type to allow efficient collection of batches of tasks to be processed without duplicating or missing any tasks in subsequent batches. - make "cpus" file update a no-op if the mask hasn't changed - fix race between update_cpumask() and sched_setaffinity() by making sched_setaffinity() post-check that it's not running on any cpus outside cpuset_cpus_allowed().
