2011-12-08usb: Remove ehci_reset call from ehci_runGeoff Levand
Remove the ehci_reset() call done in the ehci_run() routine of the USB EHCI host controller driver and add an ehci_reset() call to the probe processing of all EHCI platform drivers that do not already call ehci_reset(). The call to ehci_reset() from ehci_run() was problematic for several platform drivers, and unnecessary for others. This change moves the decision to call ehci_reset() at driver startup to the platform driver code. Signed-off-by: Geoff Levand <geoff@infradead.org> Acked-by: Alan Stern <stern@rowland.harvard.edu>

2011-08-22USB: EHCI: remove usages of hcd->stateAlan Stern
This patch (as1483) improves the ehci-hcd driver family by getting rid of the reliance on the hcd->state variable. It has no clear owner and it isn't protected by the usual HCD locks. In its place, the patch adds a new, private ehci->rh_state field to record the state of the root hub. Along the way, the patch removes a couple of lines containing redundant assignments to the state variable. Also, the QUIESCING state simply gets changed to the RUNNING state, because the driver doesn't make any distinction between them. 2011-08-22usb: s5p-ehci: fix a NULL pointer deferenceYulgon Kim
This patch fixes a NULL pointer deference. A NULL pointer dereference happens since s5p_ehci->hcd field is not initialized yet in probe function. 2011-05-10USB: ehci-s5p : use __devinit and __devexit macros for probe and removeJingoo Han
The __devinit and __devexit macros were added to probe and remove functions. The macros move the probe and remove functions to the devinit and devexit sections Signed-off-by: Jingoo Han <jg1.han@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>
2011-05-03USB: EHCI: Support controllers with big endian capability regsJan Andersson
The two first HC capability registers (CAPLENGTH and HCIVERSION) are defined as one 8-bit and one 16-bit register. Most HC implementations have selected to treat these registers as part of a 32-bit register, giving the same layout for both big and small endian systems. This patch adds a new quirk, big_endian_capbase, to support controllers with big endian register interfaces that treat HCIVERSION and CAPLENGTH as individual registers.
