2020-08-15ath10k: add wmi service peer stat info for wmi tlvWen Gong
ath10k_sta_statistics is used to report info for iw wlan0 link, it check ath10k_peer_stats_enabled, and ath10k_peer_stats_enabled check WMI_SERVICE_PEER_STATS bit of ar->wmi.svc_map. SVCMAP() for WMI_SERVICE_PEER_STATS was defined only for wmi_10x_svc_map and wmi_10_4_svc_map interfaces, it missed in wmi_tlv_svc_map, so it is not usable for iw wlan0 link for wmi tlv interface. If firmware report WMI_TLV_SERVICE_PEER_STATS_INFO for wmi tlv, then enable the WMI_SERVICE_PEER_STATS bit in ath10k, and then it pass check in ath10k_peer_stats_enabled and ath10k_sta_statistics pass check. 2020-05-11ath10k: Replace zero-length array with flexible-arrayGustavo A. R. Silva
The current codebase makes use of the zero-length array language extension to the C90 standard, but the preferred mechanism to declare variable-length types such as these ones is a flexible array member[1][2], introduced in C99: struct foo { int stuff; struct boo array[]; }; By making use of the mechanism above, we will get a compiler warning in case the flexible array does not occur last in the structure, which will help us prevent some kind of undefined behavior bugs from being inadvertently introduced[3] to the codebase from now on. Also, notice that, dynamic memory allocations won't be affected by this change: "Flexible array members have incomplete type, and so the sizeof operator may not be applied. As a quirk of the original implementation of zero-length arrays, sizeof evaluates to zero."[1] sizeof(flexible-array-member) triggers a warning because flexible array members have incomplete type[1]. There are some instances of code in which the sizeof operator is being incorrectly/erroneously applied to zero-length arrays and the result is zero. Such instances may be hiding some bugs. So, this work (flexible-array member conversions) will also help to get completely rid of those sorts of issues. This issue was found with the help of Coccinelle. 2020-04-28ath10k: add bitrate parse for peer stats infoWen Gong
The rate code and rate kbps report by WMI_TLV_PEER_STATS_INFO_EVENTID from firmware contains all the bitrate info which include OFDM, CCK, HT/VHT, and mac80211 need the struct rate_info which include below parameters: flags: bitflag of flags from &enum rate_info_flags mcs: mcs index if struct describes an HT/VHT/HE rate legacy: bitrate in 100kbit/s for 802.11abg nss: number of streams (VHT & HE only) bw: bandwidth (from &enum rate_info_bw) For OFDM/CCK, its rate kbps indicate the bitrate, for HT/VHT, mac80211 need the above 5 parameters to cacluate the bitrate and show by iw. After parse the bitrate info, iw show the correct rx bitrate: localhost ~ # iw wlan0 link rx bitrate: 234.0 MBit/s VHT-MCS 3 80MHz VHT-NSS 2 rx bitrate: 40.5 MBit/s MCS 2 40MHz rx bitrate: 72.2 MBit/s MCS 7 short GI rx bitrate: 54.0 MBit/s rx bitrate: 48.0 MBit/s Tested with QCA6174 SDIO with firmware WLAN.RMH.4.4.1-00042. 2020-04-28ath10k: add rx bitrate report for SDIOWen Gong
For SDIO chip, its rx indication is struct htt_rx_indication_hl, which does not include the bitrate info as well as PCIe, for PCIe, it use function ath10k_htt_rx_h_rates to parse the bitrate info in struct rx_ppdu_start and then report it to mac80211 via ieee80211_rx_status. SDIO does not have the same info as PCIe, then iw command can not get the rx bitrate by "iw wlan0 station dump". for example, it always show 6.0 MBit/s localhost ~ # iw wlan0 link Connected to 3c:28:6d:96:fd:69 (on wlan0) SSID: kukui_test freq: 5180 RX: 111800 bytes (595 packets) TX: 35419 bytes (202 packets) signal: -41 dBm rx bitrate: 6.0 MBit/s This patch is to send WMI_TLV_REQUEST_PEER_STATS_INFO_CMDID to firmware for ath10k_sta_statistics and save the rx bitrate for WMI event WMI_TLV_PEER_STATS_INFO_EVENTID. This patch only effect SDIO chip, ath10k_mac_sta_get_peer_stats_info has check for bitrate_statistics of hw_params, this patch only enable it for "qca6174 hw3.2 sdio". 2020-04-28ath10k: enable firmware peer stats info for wmi tlvWen Gong
For wmi tlv type, firmware disable peer stats info by default, after enable it, firmware will report WMI_TLV_PEER_STATS_INFO_EVENTID if ath10k send WMI_TLV_REQUEST_PEER_STATS_INFO_CMDID to firmware. Enable it will only set a flag in firmware, firmware will not report it without receive request WMI command. Tested with QCA6174 SDIO with firmware WLAN.RMH.4.4.1-00042. 2019-10-02ath10k: add support for hardware rfkillWen Gong
When hardware rfkill is enabled in the firmware it will report the capability via using WMI_TLV_SYS_CAP_INFO_RFKILL bit in the WMI_SERVICE_READY event to the host. ath10k will check the capability, and if it is enabled then ath10k will set the GPIO information to firmware using WMI_PDEV_SET_PARAM. When the firmware detects hardware rfkill is enabled by the user, it will report it via WMI_RFKILL_STATE_CHANGE_EVENTID. Once ath10k receives the event it will send wmi command WMI_PDEV_SET_PARAM to the firmware to enable/disable the radio and also notifies cfg80211. We can't power off the device when rfkill is enabled, as otherwise the firmware would not be able to detect GPIO changes and report them to the host. So when rfkill is enabled, we need to keep the firmware running. Tested with QCA6174 PCI with firmware WLAN.RM.4.4.1-00109-QCARMSWPZ-1. 2019-09-23ath10k: Add support to provide higher range mem chunks in wmi init commandSurabhi Vishnoi
With the current implementation of wmi init command, there is no provision for the host driver to provide mem chunks addresses with more than 32-bit, to the firmware. WCN3990 is a 35-bit target and can accept mem chunks addresses which are above 32-bit. If firmware supports address range more than 32 bit, it advertises the support by setting the WMI_SERVICE_EXTEND_ADDRESS service. Based on this service fill the upper bits of paddr while providing the mem chunks in the wmi init command. 2019-09-23ath10k: Add peer param map for tlv and non-tlvRakesh Pillai
The peer param id for PEER_PARAM_USE_FIXED_PWR is different for tlv and non-tlv firmware. This causes incorrect peer param to be set by the driver to the firmware(tlv/non-tlv). Create seperate peer param map for tlv and non-tlv firmware and attach the peer param id based on the firmware type during the init. 2019-09-12ath10k: fix channel info parsing for non tlv targetRakesh Pillai
The tlv targets such as WCN3990 send more data in the chan info event, which is not sent by the non tlv targets. There is a minimum size check in the wmi event for non-tlv targets and hence we cannot update the common channel info structure as it was done in commit 13104929d2ec ("ath10k: fill the channel survey results for WCN3990 correctly"). This broke channel survey results on 10.x firmware versions. If the common channel info structure is updated, the size check for chan info event for non-tlv targets will fail and return -EPROTO and we see the below error messages ath10k_pci 0000:01:00.0: failed to parse chan info event: -71 Add tlv specific channel info structure and restore the original size of the common channel info structure to mitigate this issue. 2019-06-25ath10k: Add peer delete response eventDundi Raviteja
Peer creation in firmware fails if last peer deletion is still in progress. The firmware sends a peer delete response event if it advertises the service WMI_SERVICE_SYNC_DELETE_CMDS. This peer delete response event is used to synchronize the peer deletion. 2019-02-28ath10k: Fill rx duration for each peer in fw_stats for WCN3990Surabhi Vishnoi
Currently, rx_duration for each peer is not getting populated in fw_stats debugfs entry for WCN3990. WCN3990 firmware sends rx duration for each peer as part of peer_extd_stats in WMI_UPDATE_STATS_EVENT. To enable peer_extd_stats, firmware expects host to send fw_stats_req_mask with flag WMI_TLV_PEER_STATS_EXTD set in WMI_REQUEST_STATS_CMD. Send fw_stats_req_mask with flag WMI_TLV_PEER_STATS_EXTD set in WMI_REQUEST_STATS_CMD and parse the peer_extd_stats in WMI_UPDATE_STATS_EVENT to populate the rx_duration of each peer in fw_stats debugfs entry. Currently the driver handles 32-bit rx_duration, but the rx_duration for WCN3990 can be upto 63 bit. The firmware sends rx_duration split into two 32-bit fields, with the upper 32-bits being valid only if its MSB is set. This change handles the 63-bit rx_duration obtained from WCN3990 and maintain the backward compatibility. To get the rx_duration of each connected peer : cat /sys/kernel/debug/ieee80211/phyX/ath10k/fw_stats Tested HW: WCN3990 Tested FW: WLAN.HL.3.1-00784-QCAHLSWMTPLZ-1 Signed-off-by: Surabhi Vishnoi <svishnoi@codeaurora.org> Signed-off-by: Kalle Valo <kvalo@codeaurora.org>
2019-02-26ath10k: add support for ack rssi value of management tx packetsAbhishek Ambure
In WCN3990, WMI_TLV_SERVICE_TX_DATA_MGMT_ACK_RSSI service Indicates that the firmware has the capability to send the RSSI value of the ACK for all data and management packets transmitted. If WMI_RSRC_CFG_FLAG_TX_ACK_RSSI is set in host capability then firmware sends RSSI value in "management" tx completion event. Host extracts ack rssi values of management packets from their tx completion event. 2019-02-07ath10k: Enable bundle tx compl for management frames in WCN3990Rakesh Pillai
WCN3990 sends tx completion of multiple management frames bundled together in a single event, if the host driver exposes the support to handle this bundled tx completion event. 2018-12-19ath10k: skip sending quiet mode cmd for WCN3990Rakesh Pillai
HL2.0 firmware does not support setting quiet mode. If the host driver sends the quiet mode setting command to the HL2.0 firmware, it crashes with the below signature. fatal error received: err_qdi.c:456:EX:wlan_process:1:WLAN RT:207a:PC=b001b4f0 The quiet mode command support is exposed by the firmware via thermal throttle wmi service. Enable ath10k thermal support if thermal throttle wmi service bit is set. 10.x firmware versions support this feature by default, but unfortunately do not advertise the support via service flags, hence have to manually set the service flag in ath10k_core_compat_services(). 2018-11-05ath10k: fill the channel survey results for WCN3990 correctlyRakesh Pillai
The host driver currently expects the channel info event to be received in pairs for all the channels, i.e. the first chan_info event for a particular channel will not have the COMPLETE flag set and the second chan_info event for the same channel will have the COMPLETE flag set. The HL2.0 firmware sends only one channel info event per channel which is scanned without the COMPLETE flag set. After sending the chan_info_event for all the channels, the HL2.0 firmware sends a chan_info_event with COMPLETE flag set to indicate the completion of the channel info event. The firmware does not indicate this behavior with any service bitmap and hence a new firmware feature flag is used to handle the modified parsing of the channel info events, in the host driver, for the firmware which sends single channel info event per scanned channel. 2018-07-30ath10k: handle mgmt tx completion eventRakesh Pillai
WCN3990 transmits management frames via WMI with reference. Currently, with the management tx completion not being handled, these frames are not getting freed even after the transmission status is returned by the firmware. 2018-07-30ath10k: disable bundle mgmt tx completion event supportSurabhi Vishnoi
The tx completion of multiple mgmt frames can be bundled in a single event and sent by the firmware to host, if this capability is not disabled explicitly by the host. If the host cannot handle the bundled mgmt tx completion, this capability support needs to be disabled in the wmi init cmd, sent to the firmware. Add the host capability indication flag in the wmi ready command, to let firmware know the features supported by the host driver. This field is ignored if it is not supported by firmware. Set the host capability indication flag(i.e. host_capab) to zero, for disabling the support of bundle mgmt tx completion. This will indicate the firmware to send completion event for every mgmt tx completion, instead of bundling them together and sending in a single event. 2017-12-14ath10k: wmi: modify svc bitmap parsing for wcn3990Rakesh Pillai
Due to the limitation of wmi tlv parsing logic, if there are two parameters in a wmi event with same tlv tag, we can get only the last value, as it overwrites the prev value of the same tlv tag. The service ready event in wcn3990 contains two parameters of the same tag UINT32, due to which the svc bitmap is overwritten with the DBS support parameter. Refactor the service ready event parsing to allow parsing two tlv of the same tag UINT32 for wcn3990. 2017-01-13ath10k: add VHT160 supportSebastian Gottschall
This patch adds full VHT160 support for QCA9984 chipsets Tested on Netgear R7800. 80+80 is possible, but disabled so far since it seems to contain glitches like missing vht station flags (this may be firmware or mac80211 related). 2015-04-01ath10k: implement tx pause wmi eventMichal Kazior
qca6174 wmi-tlv firmware defines a new wmi event for host tx pausing (i.e. stop/wake tx queues). Map these events to ath10k/mac80211 tx queue control. This is important for multi-channel throughput performance. Signed-off-by: Michal Kazior <michal.kazior@tieto.com> Signed-off-by: Kalle Valo <kvalo@qca.qualcomm.com>

2015-03-07ath10k: implement handling of p2p noa eventMichal Kazior
Since new wmi-tlv firmware doesn't have SWBA event the only way to deliver P2P NoA information is through a new dedicated event. This fixes P2P GO Probe Responses to include P2P NoA when appropriate on the new firmware. Signed-off-by: Michal Kazior <michal.kazior@tieto.com> Signed-off-by: Kalle Valo <kvalo@qca.qualcomm.com>
2015-03-04ath10k: fix wmm params per vdevMarek Puzyniak
During wmm tests changing wmm parameters did not change anything. This was because of mismatch in WMM params per vdev command. WMM params per vdev uses different command structure than wmm params per pdev command. Patch concerns qca6174.
