2018-02-16mtd: nand: move raw NAND related code to the raw/ subdirBoris Brezillon
As part of the process of sharing more code between different NAND based devices, we need to move all raw NAND related code to the raw/ subdirectory. Signed-off-by: Boris Brezillon <boris.brezillon@bootlin.com>
2018-02-16mtd: nand: Get rid of comments giving the file path inside the file itselfBoris Brezillon
Some files add a comment giving the path of the file inside the Linux tree, which is pretty useless since the reader had to find the file to open it. Getting rid of these comments will also allow us to easily move these files around when needed. Signed-off-by: Boris Brezillon <boris.brezillon@bootlin.com>
2017-08-13mtd: nand: Rename nand.h into rawnand.hBoris Brezillon
We are planning to share more code between different NAND based devices (SPI NAND, OneNAND and raw NANDs), but before doing that we need to move the existing include/linux/mtd/nand.h file into include/linux/mtd/rawnand.h so we can later create a nand.h header containing all common structure and function prototypes. 2016-01-06mtd: nand: return consistent error codes in ecc.correct() implementationsBoris BREZILLON
The error code returned by the ecc.correct() are not consistent over the all implementations. Document the expected behavior in include/linux/mtd/nand.h and fix offending implementations. [Brian: this looks like a bugfix for the ECC reporting in the bf5xx_nand driver, but we haven't seen any testing results for it] Signed-off-by: Boris Brezillon <boris.brezillon@free-electrons.com> Tested-by: Franklin S Cooper Jr. <fcooper@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Brian Norris <computersforpeace@gmail.com>
2015-12-08mtd: nand: make use of mtd_to_nand() in NAND core codeBoris BREZILLON
mtd_to_nand() was recently introduced to avoid direct access to the mtd->priv field. Update core code to use mtd_to_nand(). Signed-off-by: Boris Brezillon <boris.brezillon@free-electrons.com> Signed-off-by: Brian Norris <computersforpeace@gmail.com>

2009-11-30mtd: Add __nand_calculate_ecc() to NAND ECC functionsAkinobu Mita
Add __nand_calculate_ecc() which does not take struct mtd_info. The built-in 256/512 software ECC calculation and correction tester will use it. 2009-09-19mtd: nand: add __nand_correct_data helper functionAtsushi Nemoto
Split nand_correct_data() into two part, a pure calculation function and a wrapper for mtd interface. The tmio_nand driver can implement its ecc.correct function easily using this __nand_correct_data helper. 2008-08-20[MTD] [NAND] nand_ecc.c: fix big endian, strengthen test, add printkfrans
This patch for nand_ecc.c fixes three issues - fix code so it also works on big endian architectures - added a printk in case of an uncorrectable ecc error - strengthen the test for correctable errors (decreasing the chance that multiple bit faults by accident will be seen as correctable) Note: the big endian code is only tested in a testbed (running on big endian hardware) as I cannot rebuild and test a big endian kernel at the moment. However the only thing that can go wrong is if <asm/byteorder.h> does not give __BIG_ENDIAN in that case. In my eyes very unlikely. 2008-08-16[MTD] [NAND] nand_ecc.c: rewrite for improved performancefrans

2008-06-04MTD/JFFS2: remove CVS keywordsAdrian Bunk
Once upon a time, the MTD repository was using CVS. This patch therefore removes all usages of the no longer updated CVS keywords from the MTD code. This also includes code that printed them to the user. Signed-off-by: Adrian Bunk <bunk@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: David Woodhouse <dwmw2@infradead.org>

2006-05-23[MTD] Improve software ECC calculationThomas Gleixner

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
