2022-01-21Bluetooth: btintel: Fix WBS setting for Intel legacy ROM productsTedd Ho-Jeong An
This patch adds the flag to identify the Intel legacy ROM products that don't support WBS like WP and StP. Fixes: 3df4dfbec0f29 ("Bluetooth: btintel: Move hci quirks to setup routine") Signed-off-by: Tedd Ho-Jeong An <tedd.an@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Marcel Holtmann <marcel@holtmann.org>
2022-01-07Bluetooth: btintel: Fix broken LED quirk for legacy ROM devicesTedd Ho-Jeong An
This patch fixes the broken LED quirk for Intel legacy ROM devices. To fix the LED issue that doesn't turn off immediately, the host sends the SW RFKILL command while shutting down the interface and it puts the devices in SW RFKILL state. Once the device is in SW RFKILL state, it can only accept HCI_Reset to exit from the SW RFKILL state. This patch checks the quirk for broken LED and sends the HCI_Reset before sending the HCI_Intel_Read_Version command. This patch sends the Intel vendor command to turn off the LED. Signed-off-by: Tedd Ho-Jeong An <tedd.an@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Marcel Holtmann <marcel@holtmann.org>
2021-08-05Bluetooth: btintel: Fix the first HCI command not work with ROM deviceTedd Ho-Jeong An

2021-08-05Bluetooth: btintel: Add combined setup and shutdown functionsTedd Ho-Jeong An
There are multiple setup and shutdown functions for Intel device and the setup function to be used is depends on the USB PID/VID, which makes difficult to maintain the code and increases the code size. This patch adds combined setup and shutdown functions to provide a single entry point for all Intel devices and choose the setup functions based on the information read with HCI_Intel_Read_Version command. Starting from TyP device, the command and response parameters for HCI_Intel_Read_Version command are changed even though OCF remains same. However, the legacy devices still can handle the command without error even if it has a extra parameter, so to simplify the flow, the new command format is used to read the version information for both legacy and new (tlv based) format. Also, it also adds a routine to setup the hdev callbacks in btintel. Signed-off-by: Tedd Ho-Jeong An <tedd.an@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Marcel Holtmann <marcel@holtmann.org>

Kernel code should always use “flexible array members”[1] for these cases. The older style of one-element or zero-length arrays should no longer be used[2]. 2015-10-03Bluetooth: btintel: Add iBT register access over HCI supportLoic Poulain
Add regmap ibt to support Intel Bluetooth silicon register access over HCI. Intel BT/FM combo chip allows to read/write some registers (e.g. FM registers) via its HCI interface. Read/Write operations are performed via a HCI transaction composed of a HCI command (host->controller) followed by a HCI command complete event (controller->host). Read/Write Command opcodes can be specified to the regmap init function. We define data formats which are intel/vendor specific. Register Read/Write HCI command payload (Host): Field: | REG ADDR | MODE | DATA_LEN | DATA... | size: | 32b | 8b | 8b | 8b* | Register Read HCI command complete event payload (Controller): Field: | CMD STATUS | REG ADDR | DATA... | size: | 8b | 32b | 8b* | Register Write HCI command complete event payload (Controller): Field: | CMD_STATUS | size: | 8b | Since this payload is HCI encapsulated, Little Endian byte order is used. Write/Read Example: If we write 0x0000002a at address 0x00008c04, with opcode_write 0xfc5d, The resulting transaction is (btmon trace): < HCI Command (0x3f|0x005d) plen 10 [hci0] 04 8c 00 00 02 04 2a 00 00 00 > HCI Event (0x0e) plen 4 Unknown (0x3f|0x005d) ncmd 1 00 Then, if we read the same register with opcode_read 0xfc5e: < HCI Command (0x3f|0x005e) plen 6 [hci0] 04 8c 00 00 02 04 > HCI Event (0x0e) plen 12 [hci0] Unknown (0x3f|0x005e) ncmd 1 00 04 8c 00 00 2a 00 00 00 Signed-off-by: Loic Poulain <loic.poulain@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Marcel Holtmann <marcel@holtmann.org>
