Cleanup bindings dropping unneeded quotes. Once all these are fixed, checking for this can be enabled in yamllint. 2023-03-08dt-bindings: yamllint: Require a space after a comment '#'Rob Herring
Enable yamllint to check the preferred commenting style of requiring a space after a comment character '#'. Fix the cases in the tree which have a warning with this enabled. Most cases just need a space after the '#'. A couple of cases with comments which were not intended to be comments are revealed. Those were in ti,sa2ul.yaml, ti,cal.yaml, and brcm,bcmgenet.yaml. 2022-12-07dt-bindings: Fix maintainer email for a few ROHM ICsMatti Vaittinen
The email backend used by ROHM keeps labeling patches as spam. This can result to missing the patches. Switch my mail address from a company mail to a personal one. 2020-11-10regulator: BD71837 support commonly used feedback connectionMatti Vaittinen
The BD71837 buck output voltages are in a few cases scaled using external connection which adds a pull-up to regulator feedback pin. This connection will adjust output voltage from regulator in a deterministic way. Add support for describing this HW connection so that driver can adjust voltage ranges accordingly. 2020-09-04regulator: bd71837: add property for omitting ON/OFF controlMatti Vaittinen
The BD718(37/47/50) regulator enable states can be controlled either by SW or by PMIC internal state machine. On some systems mixture of SW and HW state machine controlled regulators is needed. Specifically, some SoCs signal SUSPEND state change to PMIC via STBY_REQ line. Now there are setups that expect certain regulators then to be disabled (by PMIC state machine) while other regulators should stay enabled (regardless of HW state => SW control required). Add a new device-tree property "rohm,no-regulator-enable-control" which can be used to leave regulator(s) under HW state machine control. 2020-05-03dt-bindings: Remove cases of 'allOf' containing a '$ref'Rob Herring
json-schema versions draft7 and earlier have a weird behavior in that any keywords combined with a '$ref' are ignored (silently). The correct form was to put a '$ref' under an 'allOf'. This behavior is now changed in the 2019-09 json-schema spec and '$ref' can be mixed with other keywords. The json-schema library doesn't yet support this, but the tooling now does a fixup for this and either way works. This has been a constant source of review comments, so let's change this treewide so everyone copies the simpler syntax. Scripted with ruamel.yaml with some manual fixups. Some minor whitespace changes from the script. 2020-04-24dt-bindings: Fix erroneous 'additionalProperties'Rob Herring
There's several cases of json-schema 'additionalProperties' at the wrong indentation level which has the effect of making them DT properties. This is harmless, but let's fix them so a meta-schema check for this can be added. In all the cases, either the 'additionalProperties' was extra or doesn't work because there's a $ref to more properties. In the latter case, we can use 'unevaluatedProperties' instead. 2020-03-30dt-bindings: bd718x7: Yamlify and add BD71850Matti Vaittinen
Convert ROHM bd71837 and bd71847 PMIC binding text docs to yaml. Split the binding document to two separate documents (own documents for BD71837 and BD71847) as they have different amount of regulators. This way we can better enforce the node name check for regulators. ROHM is also providing BD71850 - which is almost identical to BD71847 - main difference is some initial regulator states. The BD71850 can be driven by same driver and it has same buck/LDO setup as BD71847 - add it to BD71847 binding document and introduce compatible for it.
