2023-12-09bpf: Add bpf_cpumask_weight() kfuncDavid Vernet
It can be useful to query how many bits are set in a cpumask. For example, if you want to perform special logic for the last remaining core that's set in a mask. Let's therefore add a new bpf_cpumask_weight() kfunc which checks how many bits are set in a mask. 2023-06-12bpf/docs: Update documentation for new cpumask kfuncsDavid Vernet
We recently added the bpf_cpumask_first_and() kfunc, and changed bpf_cpumask_any() / bpf_cpumask_any_and() to bpf_cpumask_any_distribute() and bpf_cpumask_any_distribute_and() respectively. This patch adds an entry for the bpf_cpumask_first_and() kfunc, and updates the documentation for the *any* kfuncs to the new names. 2023-03-16bpf,docs: Remove bpf_cpumask_kptr_get() from documentationDavid Vernet
Now that the kfunc no longer exists, we can remove it and instead describe how RCU can be used to get a struct bpf_cpumask from a map value. This patch updates the BPF documentation accordingly. 2023-03-03bpf: Rename __kptr_ref -> __kptr and __kptr -> __kptr_untrusted.Alexei Starovoitov
__kptr meant to store PTR_UNTRUSTED kernel pointers inside bpf maps. The concept felt useful, but didn't get much traction, since bpf_rdonly_cast() was added soon after and bpf programs received a simpler way to access PTR_UNTRUSTED kernel pointers without going through restrictive __kptr usage. Rename __kptr_ref -> __kptr and __kptr -> __kptr_untrusted to indicate its intended usage. The main goal of __kptr_untrusted was to read/write such pointers directly while bpf_kptr_xchg was a mechanism to access refcnted kernel pointers. The next patch will allow RCU protected __kptr access with direct read. At that point __kptr_untrusted will be deprecated. 2023-01-25bpf/docs: Document cpumask kfuncs in a new fileDavid Vernet
Now that we've added a series of new cpumask kfuncs, we should document them so users can easily use them. This patch adds a new cpumasks.rst file to document them.
